Personal Money Guide & Financial Educator

In times of personal financial crisis, the real solution is often not monetary, but perspective. Money is not the only ingredient in a “rich” life. My clients are very diverse, but they are all life-long learners, involved in their communities, authentic and coachable. Most often they come in while transitioning to singlehood, either through death or divorce, and I help provide perspective on their options for the future. I also enjoy working with pre-retirees to envision what form retirement will take and how best to utilize resources to live a life that matters and leaves a meaningful legacy.
My financial planning journey began after my father died. I was appalled at the treatment my mom and her widowed friends received from financial professionals, and my professional quest was born. While my youngest was in his last year of pre-school, I started interning with an advisor to get some life experience before starting my CFP credentialing process. I have chosen to become a fee-only NAPFA Registered Advisor and a Financial Life Planner® because I believe in “Putting Money in the Context of Life™”. My primary goal is to help you become a good steward of your time, talent and treasure in your journey to reach your full potential as a human being.
Outside of work, I enjoy my close-knit family with my husband and two teenage boys. I enjoy being a part of the Columbus community, having served in the Young Mothers Educational Development (Y-MED) program, Bartholomew County Step Ahead, a variety of child-care related initiatives, the Book Buddy Program and Zonta International. I am currently the Chair of the Bartholomew County Financial Literacy Coalition, Vice Chair of the Bartholomew County Women’s Giving Circle at the Heritage Fund. I love to read, try new recipes, travel, and serve as coach for my son’s Lego League competition and the American Heart Association’s Heart Walk.
