Directions was established to address the gap between a woman’s financial capacity and her level of confidence.

As a training organization for financial advisors, we strengthen the relationships between advisors and their women clients.

As an educational organization for women consumers, we provide financial planning education in ways that reach women at their cores, because a healthy approach to finance often requires more than an understanding of what’s in their wallets.

Elizabeth Jetton, Eleanor Blayney and Peg Downey

Founded by three women CFP® professionals with over 60 years of combined practice experience, Directions seeks to empower, educate, and engage women in several ways. First, through outreach to consumers through published materials and media messaging to “invite them into the room” for a personal conversation about money. Second, through the formation of real-time and virtual women’s circles, with both consumer and advisory participation, to focus on issues of special importance to women. And finally, through the creation of a community of CFP® and other advisors, Directions is working with advisors to change the way the professional community addresses the special financial planning needs and learning styles of women.
